Photography as an Art

 The new life of people and their journey's. Everyone lives in different places of the world and for the holidays, people travel all over to meet the ones that they have not seen in a while, or people that they always do but hang out for the day, or days.   I traveled to my aunts house for Christmas and this is some of the scenery I have seen on my ride there. I was not the one driving. :p It is hard to take pictures in a moving vehicle with a low lens camera, but this is what I got and I think that they are pretty good.         This picture shows the distance from the highway and where the next city is. I love how the clouds open up for a skyscraper and the way they are fluffy. It make you want to go into the field and lay down to watch them pass you by. Yes, I like flowers and taking pictures of them. I have not posted anything in a while because I have been busy and I'm working on my books. But that is not why I am creating this post for you today. A flower has many different forms and shades when it is growing and when they begin to die. All the way to when they fall to the ground. These pictures that I am going to show you are a little bit different then what I have originally shown in the past.   I love this picture. It shows how the petals of the flower start to come undone and it gives you more to see when it comes to the inside petals of the flower. It is very cool. You can even see the middle of the flower and how the shading gives off the depth of how big the flower really is.      The picture to the left is of a flower that is beginning to die but it is taking on a different approach of the situation. Have you ever seen something carved into a tree or from a tree trunk? Apparently that is what I have seen on my day walking in the park. I have seen something like these statues before, but only in pictures or they were carved into a big tree that was still standings. Where I live, I have never seen anything like this in my town. Until I went for a walk. I may show pictures of some things that are a part of nature or is all natural, but looking at art that humans have created into some of natures plants are very pretty too. You can see the two different bears in the trunk of the tree. They seem to be peaking out of a place where they call their home. It is very cool to see how detailed the carvings are in this picture.   The turtle. There is always a turtle carved in a tree trunk somewhere. You just have to go looking for them. Something that I have not done in a while is create a post on my photography. You may like it, you may hate it. But everyone has their own opinion and I just want to show some of my artistic skills to whoever is willing to read and look at my work. What I am going to show you is somewhat familiar and different too. There are different ways to see something when it comes to flowers of course, but what about the fruit on trees, or the leaves that help shade the fruit from some of the suns rays? It is different, yes, but have you ever really thought about it? This picture shows a type of flower called baby's breath, and there is a rose being hidden in the background and to the right as well, trying to peak through. The sun from the window gives you the view of the flowers in the back and shows that their is detail in every flower that we see. Then there are trees that give us fruit. I have not posted anything in a while and the last thing you would think I would put up is a squirrel with garbage. Well, I'm different and this is what I consider to be a photography moment. While I was waiting near a park, I heard a critter making noise. When I turned around, I saw a squirrel in the garbage. It was strange at one point, but instead of moving away like most people would do, I took a picture of him. A few actually. This is what squirrels do when there are no nuts or acorns for them to eat. They start digging in the garbage. I like this picture because it shows you the dark outline of the creature and what he is going to eat by the small light that is shinning on him. It is very cool and interesting at the same time. This is because of the way the sun it reflecting off the top of the garbage.   This picture is a little bit different than the first. The world and its animals are very different when you look at the ones that no one may really pay attention too. What I have seen is different and amazing. Where the animal may go is a mystery, but you can see part of their journey in that moment. It all becomes fascinating. These creatures are different than what anyone may first think of when you say the word caterpillar. Yes these are them and they are very different then what you may see in an apple. This picture shows how they are walking across the leaf. The way their fur is on their bodies are in a unique pattern and it makes then stand out from any other.     Bees are what some people may see as annoying and others as insects to stay away from because they are allergic. I think that they are very interesting. This picture shows the wings of the bee and how the yellow design is lighter than the color on the bees body. Something that everyone sees in New York but sometimes passes without realizing it. The Empire State Building is amazing when it comes to the height of it and the view from up top. You can see everything from the buildings to the horizon to the people that look like ants on the sidewalk. It is very beautiful and you will see that you are in New York when you look out to the different river landmarks and the brand names on the buildings. It is a perfect picture when you can capture the light on the building in the distance. Your eye is drawn to that building and then you see the water and the buildings that are surrounding it. With how the bars are depicted in the picture, it looks like you are looking at separate pieces of a landscape as well.   This picture you can see that the middle bar is very close to the horizon. I know that you will get tired of my flower pictures eventually. But there are so many out there that it is too amazing to not take a picture of them! What I am going to show you now is pictures of pink flowers. The reason for the "Pink Promise" title is because when I saw these flowers I thought of when people give each other flowers, they are in different colors and forms. The saying popped in my head and it was something that I wanted to stick with. Each flower is different and I will explain the uniqueness of them and why I chose to photograph them. This particular flower is unique when it comes to the petals and how they are surrounding the center of the flower. Each petal may look like the same size but they are not. The yellow center brings out the smaller petals. One thing that everyone loves to take pictures of is animals . If it is not their own or a friends pet, it is an aquatic mammal, fishes, land creatures, etc. Each is unique and has their own pattern as well as their own ecosystem. What I am going to show you is not pictures of a pet, but pictures of creatures that are all around us. We may not be able to see them because of their camouflage, and others it is easier to see them. But they are all beautiful and look amazing in nature.  In this picture at the bottom and closer to the left, there is a type of dragonfly. It is green and it is hard to see him because of the color. When it comes to the colors of animals, it is cool if they are faded in with nature.   With this mayfly, the picture is focusing more on the detail of the wings and the bottom half of its body then the entire bug. It has different shades of brown and the shapes are different in the wings from the lower half of the body.   ...

I know I have not posted anything in a while and I apologize for that. With all of the work I have been doing, it has become a busy couple of weeks for me. But I do have some news and new photographs to show you. :) Recently I have spoken with a very close friend of mine and she has given me an idea. Since I love to write, and photography is like my second hobby, I am going to be creating a photography book. It will take a little longer than my self-published books, but I am willing to do it. Many of my photographs in the book will not be just what you see up here on my blog. I take pictures of different subjects and aspects all of the time. But now I will be able to show all of the different ideas I have when it comes to photography. I am very excited and will hopefully have this completed as soon as I can.  When it comes to the angle of taking a picture, how you would like the color to be portrayed in the setting is an important part too. Maybe you want to try taking a picture of something that cast a lot of shadows to make it look dark, or have light where there is only a little shadow and you give the object more depth depending on where the shadow is.        This picture shows how the light from the sun is showing a little bit of shadow in the flower. It gives off depth and the detail in the flowers as well. The cluster of flowers makes the picture have more life as well.   The pink flower is ready for its close-up! I always thought that it was cool to really see any type of fruit or vegetable and look at what their true shapes are. Sometimes they are a figure that we can not make ourselves as humans and other we have shaped through our lives. It is a symbol of something significant in our cultures. A strawberry is one of those particular shapes that we use to signify a meaning and a feeling in our world.   You can clearly see that it is in a shape of a heart. I thought that it looked interesting and it is cool how in nature there are shapes that we have created, but we did not recognize that nature already had this shape.     You can move a camera around and get a million different angle shots for one object. This picture your eye is being draw to the strawberry and many people will be reluctant to see the stem on the upper right side of the picture.  It is hard for anyone to wake up at six in the morning. Some people are used to it. Two days out of the week I do because I have to get ready for school. This is what you are missing if you do not wake up early.      This picture you can see how the sun brings out the clouds and the details in them. The different shades of blue are really cool because you can see the different textures of the clouds as well.   The sun behind the clouds brings out the smaller clouds that people do not always see. You can also see the clouds in more detail in the distance as well.   This is the all around view of what the sky looks like. You can see different shapes in the clouds as well as how one cluster of clouds are forming a shape and it looks like a sink hole but its the opposite.        You may not want to wake up at six in the morning (neither do I), but it is beautiful to see what the sky looks like. Even though they are dead, they are still beautiful. Yes, it may seem like a strange comment but it is true. Not every flower may look like it has life left in it after they have been sitting in a vase for so long, but those flowers are still fighting until the last petal drops. This photo is very interesting when you look at how the shades of red are fading away. The detail in the flower shows even more and the curling of the flowers petals give it a more in-depth look. This photography gives you a view of what the flower looks like on the inside and how the color is fading onto the outside of the flower.   This photograph shows how the light from the sun shows more detail in the petal of the dying flower. The creases are, what it looks like, turning into a yellowish color as well. I know a lot of people do not like the spring when it comes to allergies, but it is a beautiful season none the less. I have flowers growing around my house and sometimes I cannot control myself when it comes to seeing what a flower looks like in the camera. The colors are beautiful and the different ways you can capture a picture of a flower is amazing.   If you have the camera focus more on one flower, you will be able to get that blurry effect that you see in other photographers photos. It is also a way to capture the different shades of the flower as well.       This picture is in the same context as the first, but you see the focus of the two flowers is on the upper right side of the picture. It gives you another way of pulling the seers eyes to the flower that you want them to focus on, but they will look at the other pieces of the photo as well.     With this photo, you are not focused on one aspect of the photograph because of ...

The view at Garret Mountain is cool and you can see how the skyline is hitting the clouds it looks beautiful. This is where I would go for the entire day, if I could.     The tall buildings are really awesome and it looks like it is from a movie too.     The lonely tree is in an interesting spot and in this picture you can see many sections of the city too.       This is a cool distance picture from the mountain.     I just like this picture. :)     I love these pictures and the view was amazing.
