Tree Carvings ...

Have you ever seen something carved into a tree or from a tree trunk?
Apparently that is what I have seen on my day walking in the park.
I have seen something like these statues before, but only in pictures or they were carved into a big tree that was still standings. Where I live, I have never seen anything like this in my town. Until I went for a walk.

I may show pictures of some things that are a part of nature or is all natural, but looking at art that humans have created into some of natures plants are very pretty too.

You can see the two different bears in the trunk of the tree. They seem to be peaking out of a place where they call their home. It is very cool to see how detailed the carvings are in this picture.

The turtle. There is always a turtle carved in a tree trunk somewhere. You just have to go looking for them. The people that have carved this tree trunk has added some detail into the shell of the turtle to give it more of a design. Looking at the turtle from this angle, you can see how the animal was carved and how big he is.

The bear that has come out of hibernation is out to play. This tree trunk carving shows the bear is also relaxing and the detail in the face shows that the top of the bears' nose is a different shade then the rest of him. There is an art to this, and this carving shows the details of the fur of the bear on his arms as well.

Tree carvings are very neat and they are even more amazing to watch someone do it in person. You of course cannot stand to close, but from a distance you can see how much work is put into the carving and how precise a person has to be to get the shape of the animal or whatever the person is carving to be just right.

When you see something like this, look at the detail and just imagine how the carving was created. This is art, and this is something that I think is a fantastic way to portray it.
