Steady and Beautiful

How is everyone doin' these days?

I am back and I have some interesting photos to share with you all. But first I am going to tell you about why I have taken these pictures and how you can take ones just like these as well.
If you ever want to know how to take a great picture or what to do to get so close to animals, insects, or anything without scaring them off before you snap the picture, I am here to help. Just leave a comment at the end of any of my posts or e-mail me at :

I know many people get tired of the same pictures all of the time and of the same subjects, but sometimes the way a picture is taken, the angle of the photograph can make all the difference.

No angles in these pictures I am about to show you, but being steady and quiet is the trick.

On vacation I, of course, took my camera with me and took pictures of what I wanted to preserve as memories. Yes my memory may be good but I wanted to share my experiences with others and one day show others where I have been.

But these pictures I am about to show you are cool and colorful images.

SEARCH for the BUTTERFLY!
It was very exciting when I got this shot. I am still trying to get a picture of them in flight but it's a little difficult to not get a blurry one. Maybe one day.
Anyways, the leaves in this picture camouflages the butterfly but the sun brings it out of its hiding spot. He is so cool and the sun lets you see his shadow on the leaf he is standing on. The typical butterfly in a cute picture.

Dragonfly's Big Eyes.
I have never taken a picture of a dragonfly this close up before. I was out on my kayak and of course when you are on a lake, you see them near the top of the water near the land a lot. But when he landed on mine, I tried to take out my camera and take a picture before he flew off. I was fast but not to the point where I would scare him.
That is the thing when it comes to insects: you need to be fast, but still as well. Don't make any noises that can scare them off, but try your best to focus the camera on the creature. All of them are unique in some way, even though many of us don't like insects.

Animals-all animals-are cute, interesting, fuzzy, soft, you want to hug them, squash them, set them free, or just observe them. All of them have a purpose, even if you think some may be a nuisance or in our way.
I agree that insects should stay outside and not in your house of course. Some are great for your garden: like worms, roly-polies, bees, etc. Others are just in strange places like rats, mice, snakes, and they should be in the places where they do belong. But the weather is confusing some of these animals and they end up being in the wrong places and away from their habitats.

Lets keep the animals alive in their safe habitats, in the woods, the wild.
And of course observe certain ones from a distance, like hippos, rhinos, snakes, etc. :p

Hope you all enjoy the ending of your summer! Let me know what you have seen this summer and what pictures you have taken. Every picture has a story, even the ones that were taken by accident.

*hugs*
