Shinning Light on a Beautiful Lake

Many of you that read my blog posts have seen a multiple assortment of pictures and explanations of how I look at the quality or beauty of the scenes. This time I am going to give you a background of a picture that I love and how I took that picture.

Even though some of you may have seen many sunsets, but this particular one is very beautiful and there is a big close to the rays which I do not get often.

The scene that is depicted here is at a campsite in Smithfield, Maine. Once a year or maybe once every few years I go to this spot and watch the sun rise, set, and even see a snapping turtle come up to the surface of the water. Of course I would not go in this part of the lake because of them, but it is still a beautiful area to stop and be at peace.
The rays of the sun matches the darkness of the coming night perfectly. It paints the lake in a beautiful light shade and brings out the waves of the small breeze. The small bird in the picture on the left side of the sun shows us that it is time to just relax or to go off into the night. Moving the screen you can see the darker image of the colors and how wonderful the photograph truly is.

What I have done to capture this image is simple. I have just sat on a rock near the lake, made sure that my Canon PowerShot A2300 HD camera was stable on the rock, put the setting on sunset mode, and snapped a picture. I have seen the bird flying towards the sun and thought that it would be even better if I could get him in the shot. I did not think I would, but I did and I'm happy for that.

My Camera: 5.0-25.0mm 1:2.8-6.9

I am not someone who uses expensive equipment to create that perfect photograph. Sometimes the best scenes are the ones you have created without even trying. A lot of things you hear from people is that if you don't try, you will never get anywhere. This is true for the most part, but when you think about how hard you try at certain things and nothing happens, you just have to believe in yourself and do what you want because you love to do it. It is all about loving your job, career, or your hobby. If you don't, then nothing will come of it. Do what you love, not what people tell you to do.

The reason for my post, besides giving you all an idea and description of what I have done to take this photo, is because of a company I have come across called Light. They give us all the idea that you do not need a high-maintenance camera or pieces to capture that perfect moment. There new Light L16 camera looks amazing and seems to be the perfect camera for all photographers.

Always remember that no matter what happens in life, what you may see, what you think is the best or the worst picture you have ever taken, they are all unique. You may not see it after first glance, but you will after the second time. Every person has there place, their spot that they will call their own. If we look for it, then we will never truly find it.
